Background:
Kyouko was the daughter of a preacher who started to deviate from his regular sermons and was excommunicated for it. This caused her family to become very poor, often not being able to eat enough food. It was then the being know as Kyubey offered her a contract. He would grant her a single wish and in exchange she would become a Puella Magi. Not knowing the dangerous balance to making such a wish, Kyouko wished for her father to have more followers. She began to hunt witches as a Puella Magi for payment to realize her wish, however, upon finding out that his followers merely arrived through his daughter’s magical wish, he became disillusioned and killed his entire family except Kyouko, and committed suicide. Kyouko soon concludes that wishing for sake of others is useless and begins to use her powers for herself.

Sometime in between becoming a Magi and the death of her family Kyouko met Mami Tomoe. For some time Mami was her ‘mentor’ and helped teach her how too become a better fighter and other such things. Mami is also the one who named Kyouko’s special technique“Rosso Fantasma,” (Red Illusion/Phantom). Not long after the death of her family Kyouko stops fighting alongside Mami and continues to fight witches on her own.

• You will often, if not always, find Kyouko eating some type of food. Even at most points in battle.
  
  
• Her biggest pet peeve is people wasting food. Due to her family being on the brink of starvation for so long and often not having food. If she sees you wasting food she will not hesitate to chastise, or even threaten, you about it.
  
  
• Her main weapon of choice is a spear with a few tricks up it’s sleeve.
  
  
• Thanks to her wish as a magical girl she has the ability to conjure up illusionary doubles (Rosso Fantasma) and the ability to mess with peoples minds, enticing them or tricking them. However she sub-consciously lost both of these abilities when her father killed her family and himself. If they will ever return to her is a mystery.
  
  
• One of her secondary abilities is making magic barriers to block projectiles, attacks, or keep people out of fights.

Now I will be playing Kyouko from timeline 3. Post-death. She is alive and remembers everything up to her death. Kyouko has just mystically found herself alive (lets just say because of time shenanigans) and in Mitakihara Town. But burdened with the memories of what transpired in her timeline and even her death.

Headcanon for Timeline 3 Kyouko:

Near the beginning of the third timeline Kyouko was more an an enemy to the Magi group of Madoka, Homura, Sayaka, and Mami. Thinking that working in a team was a waste of time and magic, since she was only interested in helping herself.. Only later on did she change her mind as she befriended Sayaka and joined the group. Events transpired the same as they usually did in the timelines when Sayaka Miki becomes a Puella Magi. Which meant it wasn’t long before she turned into a witch due too her own stubbornness and despair. Though the other Magi tried too talk sense to Oktavia (Sayaka’s witch) their efforts were in vain and Homura was forced to kill the witch before it harmed Madoka. Kyouko had little time too reflect on the cruel fate of magical girls or the death of her friend. This was because she was killed by Mami, who was already driven mad upon learning the truth of Puella Magi, shortly after the battle.

Sometime after all of this, Kyouko isn’t really sure how long, she woke up in an apartment completely fine. After she woke up the magi searched a long time for any trace of her fellow magi or Kyubey. She had no luck finding either. Kyouko only found the usual witches. Assuming Mami killed all the other Puella Magi and herself, the spear wielding girl decides too continue on her hunt of witches for grief seeds. With her spirits crushed yet again by her losses Kyouko has slowly turned back too her habits of only caring about getting grief seeds. The truth about witches has left her in a worse state than she was previous. Most of the time you can find her with her arrogant and happy attitude. But there will be times when ever things just gets too her.
